And Now A Special Report: Have Yourself a Merry Little Monolith (December 12, 2020)

Greetings Earthlings!

I hope this trail report finds you well. I hope that you are safe, sound and healthy. We are all well here.

I recently made a pilgrimage to pay homage to my local Monolith atop Pine Mountain (elevation 1296 feet) in Atascadero, California.

The Monolith I visited is actually the second Monolith to occupy this venerated spot atop our local mountain. The first one was torn down by some True Americans from southern California who were operating on direct orders from Q himself. The Monolith that now resides atop Pine Mountain arose approximately three days after the original one was toppled and dragged away.

The Monolith is no mystery. It’s human creators have proudly taken credit for their work. It is an act of humanism, nothing more.

As I approached The Monolith from below I could see it reflecting the setting sun. I made haste in order to make the summit before sunset. This is what I found.

A reflection of the beautiful world we live in.

The return of The Monolith has given me hope. We are indeed rounding the corner. Likewise, the return of The Fairies has given me hope.

Another of my favorite local trails is the little trail I take to the beach. When I go surfing I walk this lovely trail through the brambles, past the lagoon and onto the beach. Amongst the brambles there are Fairies. A few months ago someone eradicated The Fairies. Was it the Gnomes? The State of California? A well intentioned neighbor? Who knows.

While walking the trail to the beach today, I noticed The Faeries were returning.

I welcome the whimsical appearances of these objects and creatures.

May your holiday season be filled with wonder, love, peace and safety. May it also be filled with monoliths, faeries and even jolly old elves. I also want to wish you a happy new year, one that will hopefully have fewer trolls in it.
